But at least you have a comparison to work from.ģ. 3CX needs more power, but still recommend a Linux VM for it, but I've not tested the resource needs in the current version. For FreePBX it is 100 users of normal use (no transcoding, nothing weird) for FreePBX 14 would be 1 vCPU and 1GB of RAM. AWS will work, but we've had such good luck with Vultr at half the cost.Ģ. AWS doesn't allow custom ISO which is important, Vultr does at half the price of AWS and is rock solid and tested with PBX all of the time. None of those are "wrong", all just "it depends." Instead of AWS, though, look at Vultr. Where to host: All of those are fine, totally depends on your needs and goals. Does it have good reception desk features (hardware or software)?ġ.Does it have toll fraud protection and community blacklists?.Does the Enterprise version offer failover to a satellite office (if primary goes down)? If so, does it work well?.Can it reliably support devices in multiple locations (two offices, 20 remote workers)?.If on-prem, what are the recommended server specs for 100 users?.What setup is most reliable? On-prem, AWS self-hosted (PBX express), or hosted by 3CX?. ![]()
